Under its new ownership, the Hotel has been revitalised adding to many years of excellent service, a warm, welcoming atmosphere, quality food and accomodation. With open hearth fires, lawned garden and grounds, and stunning views over the Weardale Valley, the Helme Park Hall provides an excellent venue for breaks for couples and families and is popular with business visitors due to the free Wi-fi and the hotel's proximity to the A68 and the city of Durham.
Since it was built in 1643 The Hall has had a range of occupants and functions including periods as a distinguished family home of local land owners and, more recently, the residences of Colonel Stobart.
At the Helme Park Hall Hotel we can offer a choice of bar or restaurant dining facilities. The hotel offers the Wearview Restaurant and provides quality menus devised by our Head Chef, Richard Elliott incorporating excellent local ingredients for traditional dishes with a twist.
The hotel also has two lounge bars with views out onto the gardens and further onto the stunning rolling countryside that surrounds this Country House Hotel.
